Dacia car in for a service

Every new Dacia comes with a 3-year/60,000-mile manufacturer warranty. Dacia Zen can then extend this for free, one year/18,000 miles at a time, simply by servicing at a Dacia dealer — up to a maximum of 6 years old/75,000 miles. Dacia is part of Renault Group, and its official warranty documentation is issued directly by Renault UK Ltd.

How long does the Dacia manufacturer warranty last?

Every new Dacia comes with a 3-year/60,000-mile manufacturer warranty, confirmed directly on Dacia's own UK site. Dacia's official warranty terms are issued by Renault UK Ltd, reflecting Dacia's position within the Renault Group — the same corporate relationship confirmed on our Renault warranty page.

Paintwork is covered separately for 2 years, and anti-corrosion perforation cover runs for 6 years with no mileage limit, requiring an inspection at least once every 2 years to remain valid.

WORTH KNOWING

Dacia Zen (described below) has a one-month waiting period after the qualifying service before the extended cover actually becomes active — a detail worth knowing if you're relying on it to bridge straight from your expiring manufacturer warranty with no gap.

Dacia Zen — free service-activated extension

Once the standard 3-year manufacturer warranty ends, Dacia Zen extends cover for free every time you service your vehicle at a Dacia dealer — one further year or 18,000 miles at a time, whichever comes first, up to a maximum of 6 years old and 75,000 miles. There's a one-month waiting period from the date of the qualifying service before the Dacia Zen cover becomes effective. It's available even if not all of your previous servicing was carried out within the Dacia network, though this may affect what's covered, and it transfers automatically to a new owner if you sell the car.

Dacia's own paid Extended Warranty

Separately from Dacia Zen, Dacia sells its own paid Extended Warranty, purchasable online or through participating retailers while your vehicle is still within its original 3-year/60,000-mile manufacturer warranty. Cover options extend up to 7 years and 100,000 miles in total. The extended warranty starts from the date the manufacturer warranty expires, and — unlike some competitors — explicitly covers consequential damage to the vehicle resulting from the original defect, not just the failed part itself.

Electric and hybrid battery cover

Dacia's hybrid and electric models come with an 8-year/100,000-mile traction battery warranty, separate from the standard vehicle warranty.

Roadside assistance

Dacia Assistance (provided through RAC) is included as standard for 36 months/60,000 miles. Dacia Xtra lets you purchase extended or European cover on top, with a 5% discount off RAC's public prices for Dacia drivers.

Keeping your warranty valid

Your Dacia must be serviced to Dacia's approved standards, as set out in the Warranty & Service Sheet or Driver's Handbook. Failing to do so can invalidate the extended warranty specifically if an incident is linked to inadequate or missing servicing — keep your service receipts, as they may be needed to validate a claim.
