Who we are
Warranty24 is operated by Sterk Digital Limited (Company No. NI676988), Unit 1, 212-218 Upper Newtownards Road, Belfast, Northern Ireland, BT4 3ET ("we", "us"). We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.
What data we collect
We collect a limited, specific set of personal data — we do not require account creation and do not collect financial or sensitive personal information.
- Contact form: your name and email address, only if you choose to contact us
- Push notifications: if you opt in to browser push notifications via OneSignal, we (via OneSignal) receive a push subscription identifier and general device/browser information. If you subscribe using an email address through OneSignal, we hold that email address for the purpose of sending you notifications you've opted into
- Analytics: aggregated, non-identifying information about how visitors use the site (pages visited, general browsing behaviour) via Google Analytics
- Affiliate click tracking: data about which links you click through to a warranty provider, via WeCanTrack, used to attribute affiliate commissions correctly
- We also use Google Search Console to monitor how the site appears in Google Search — this reads aggregated data from Google's own index and does not collect data from individual visitors to this site
How we use your data
- To respond to enquiries you send us
- To send push notifications or emails you've specifically opted in to receive, and to let you unsubscribe at any time
- To understand how visitors use the site and improve our content
- To measure which pages and links perform well, including for affiliate commission attribution
Legal basis for processing
- Consent, for non-essential cookies, push notifications, and any email opt-in (see Cookie Policy)
- Legitimate interest, for basic site analytics and keeping the site secure
- Steps taken at your request, for responding to a contact form enquiry
Third-party sites
When you click through to a provider such as MotorEasy or Warrantywise, you leave Warranty24 and that provider's own privacy policy applies to any data you submit there. We do not receive or store the personal details you enter on a provider's own site.
Data retention
We keep contact form enquiries only as long as necessary to respond to and resolve them.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict use of your personal data, to object to processing, and to data portability. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) if you believe your data has been mishandled.
